1970 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Qualifying in fifteenth, at the end it was the red and white #23 917K of Porsche Salzburg, driven by Stuttgart's own Hans Herrmann and Englishman Richard Attwood through the pouring rain, that scored Porsches first overall win at Le Mans.
The first of many victories for Porsche, who would go on to dominate the 24 Hours of Le Mans and become the most winning manufacturer in it's long and storied history.
